The Office for Veterans’ Affairs (OVA), part of the Ministry of Defence (MOD), champions veterans of the UK Armed Forces. The OVA works across the UK government and beyond to deliver for veterans, helping them to make brilliant contributions to society after service. Some of our veterans may need additional support to thrive after leaving service. Working with devolved governments, local government, charities and businesses, we ensure that those who leave the armed forces have their contribution recognised, are given the right tools to transition into civilian society and can access effective ongoing support to achieve the best outcomes in employment, health, housing and other areas of need.

The Forces Employment Charity provides life-long, life changing support, jobs and training opportunities to veterans, irrespective of circumstances, rank, length of service, or reason for leaving.

The majority of staff within the charity are veterans and Service family members located across the UK. When you speak to us, you are talking to people who can relate to you and both empathise and empower. Founded in 1885 and operating across the UK, we have the specialist knowledge and understanding to bridge the gap between military life and civilian employment.

As the service provider for Op ASCEND we support companies from across economically significant sectors to create employment pathways to support the recruitment, retention, progression and tracking of veterans and family members. In doing so, we provide veterans and their families with direct access to career opportunities and expert career guidance as well as opportunities to engage in our Pathways events offering the opportunity to hear from and directly engage with employers seeking to employ military candidates.
